AI Diagnostic — Data Processing

Data collected

The "AI Diagnostic" tool available on this site collects the following:

  • Answers to 9 multiple-choice questions (options A/B/C/D) — no personally identifiable data.
  • Free-text inputs on internal AI usage, tools used, and adoption barriers — optional fields.
  • Declared professional role (CMO, CDO, CEO, Brand Director, Other) — not nominative.
  • Email address — optional, collected only on explicit opt-in, for delivery of the personalised summary.

No cookies are set by this tool. No data is stored in any persistent database.

Purpose of processing

  • Generate a personalised AI maturity summary, displayed on screen at the end of the questionnaire.
  • Send that summary by email to respondents who have provided their address (opt-in).
  • Notify the site owner ([email protected]) of aggregated, anonymised results for editorial monitoring and tool improvement purposes.

Legal basis (GDPR)

Processing rests on two distinct legal bases under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Article 6:

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for respondents who have not provided an email address: processing is strictly limited to generating the on-screen summary. No profiling, no nominative storage.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for respondents who have provided their email address: opt-in is explicit, materialised by an unchecked checkbox. Consent may be freely withdrawn at any time.

Sub-processors

  • Anthropic, PBC (340 Pine Street, Suite 323, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA) — Processes questionnaire responses via the Claude API to generate the summary. Transfer outside the EU is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) adopted by the European Commission. Anthropic does not retain data submitted via the API beyond real-time processing (see Anthropic's privacy policy).
  • Resend, Inc. (548 Market St, PMB 72271, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA) — Email infrastructure used for the internal notification sent to [email protected]. Does not process respondent data for its own purposes.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) — Site and Worker hosting. The Cloudflare KV used by this tool is limited to technical rate limiting (request count per IP) and stores no personal data from questionnaire responses.

Retention period

  • Responses without email: processed in real time, not retained.
  • Email address (opt-in): retained only for the time required to send the summary, then removed from the processing pipeline.
  • Internal notification ([email protected]): aggregated scores and verbatims received by email are retained in accordance with internal professional email management practices. No statutory retention period applies to this type of processing. Data may be deleted upon request.

Rights of data subjects

Under the GDPR and applicable French data protection law (Loi Informatique et Libertés, as amended), you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — applicable to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time, without retroactive effect
  • Right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority)

To exercise these rights: [email protected]
